Charda is a traditional instrument played in the Hunza valley by the few folk musicians, which are left. The Chardha is a local form of stringed lute. It is a string musical instrument of Persian or Central Asian origin, also known as the Pamiri or Hunzai Rabab in the Wakhi tradition of Gojal, Upper Hunza. The instrument can be found in Tajikistan, Afghanistan and the adjoining regions of Kashgar in China, as well as Upper Hunza in Pakistan.
